About This Product
A fuel sample is pressed into a pellet, sealed in the bomb and fired electrically through the nichrome wire, while the stirred calorimeter vessel takes up the heat released. The temperature rise read on the Beckman thermometer gives the heat of combustion and calorific value of the fuel. The apparatus is also used to determine the sulphur content of solid and liquid fuels.
